Antora DeLong is an actress, dancer, improviser, arts administrator, and general performer-of-all trades in Chicago, by way of Austin, by way Chicago (again), by way of southern Indiana.  She began studying ballet with the Indiana University Pre-College Ballet Program at the age of seven and has been studying dance ever since, using her movement-intensive background to fully embody each character she plays.

In Chicago, Antora earned her B.A. from Northwestern University’s Theatre Program. While living in the city, Antora has had the pleasure of performing with Piven Theatre Workshop, Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre, (re)discover theatre, Lookingglass Theatre, Redmoon Theater, First Floor Theater, and Odradek Theatre, among others.  In Chicago, Antora has specialized in working in highly collaborative atmospheres and diving into the challenge of devising new works.

Antora relocated to Austin, Texas in September 2018 and thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She took several improv classes with ColdTowne Theatre, and she also performed with companies including The Archive Theatre, Different Stages Theatre, and New Manifest Theatre Company.

In February 2021, Antora moved back to Chicago. She’s looking forward to reconnecting with her community and also meeting new folks to make art with!

Antora also works professionally as an arts and education administrator. She managed the education wing of Piven Theatre Workshop in Evanston, Illinois for five years. In Austin, she initially worked as the registration coordinator for The Contemporary Austin Art School at Laguna Gloria. She currently works remotely for the University of Texas at Austin, developing and managing programs at UT’s Center for Professional Edcuation. She loves that she gets to use her day job to help community members both gain confidence in their current jobs as well as learn the skills required to move ahead on their career path.
